Glad to see you...
If the gaming industry is an automobile, and the game designers are the drivers, then that makes us, the players, backseat drivers, and we'll be damned if we're gonna let the industry keep on heading the way it's going (good or bad) without letting them know what we think. So buckle up, feel free to complain about there being no air in the back, and bring your most critical and analytical mind to the open air discussion of the current age, Backseat Gamers!

It would be cool if they let you play as any one of the 8 characters for "The Passing."
ReplyDeleteeven if you can't, though...still awesome.
I liked the comment someone wrote on the article...."I hate get-togethers" haha
I miss my Zoe
ReplyDeleteAt least Zoe was a crack shot with that sniper rifle, Rochelle just sits there and watches me get pummeled by chargers.
ReplyDeleteThe characters are the one thing that aren't growing on me. Everything else in L4D2 is coming around nicely, and although the characters are getting more enjoyable, they just don't have the same charm as the original fab four.
Amateria: Agreed. The game has only gotten better the more we play it, but these characters don't do anything for me. I think with Ellis especially they try to do too much to make him funny and it comes off as the kid in class saying "look at me i'm funny i'm funny! aren't I funny?!" I feel like with Nick there was a lot of room for some clever jokes or something seeing as to how he's just a hustler.
ReplyDeleteI guess I just miss the snappy dialogue battles between two AI...mainly Bill and Francis. Not to mention Francis being the least masculine name of all time.
L4D3 should pick up with the original 4 IMHO.
ReplyDeleteInstead of making Left 4 Dead 3, maybe they should just focus on DLC for both games. I like the additions to #2, but anything else might get out of control. If they just made DLC for both games and staggered the releases, we'd have something new to play in BOTH games every once in a while. That would be awesome, since the games feel slightly different and being able to go back and forth between the 2 with new campaigns and stuff would be tons of fun.
ReplyDeleteSalad: I'll have to take back my L4D3 suggestion and agree with you on this one. It is very unlikely that they would do this tho. Especially the DLC for the first one. I am constantly amazed at the replayability of both of these games. One of my all time favs was going for Untouchables in Death Toll. What a blast!
