Glad to see you...

If the gaming industry is an automobile, and the game designers are the drivers, then that makes us, the players, backseat drivers, and we'll be damned if we're gonna let the industry keep on heading the way it's going (good or bad) without letting them know what we think. So buckle up, feel free to complain about there being no air in the back, and bring your most critical and analytical mind to the open air discussion of the current age, Backseat Gamers!

I'd love to play that again....

What are some games that you'd love to play again, but aren't about to because it's on an old system you don't have anymore or don't want to hook up again? Basically what are games that if they came to the virtual console, PSOnline or LIVE you would buy without hesitation.

Power Stone 1 & 2 (Dreamcast)
Goldeneye (obviously you all would pick that one, 64)
MDK (PC/PS1)
Space Fury (Coleco)

These are just a couple. I am sure we all have lists that would go on forever, but lets get some new games on these lists....try to stay away from Link to the Past.....you know who you are.

  1. Most of the games I have those fond, nostalgic memories of I still have.

It's not that old, but I bet a few of us would buy Unreal Championship if it became an xbox original. Bombing Run with Insane bots with lightning guns. Rock out.

  2. Final Fantasy Tactics but I still own that for the PSONE, which I still have.

I've already bought Marathon Durandal and Doom on XBOX Live, both old school games that were great additions to Live.

  3. 1. Unirally (snes)
    2. Timesplitters (PS2)
    3. Syphon Fliter (PS1)
    4. Crash Bandicoot Racing (PS1)
    5. Jet Set Radio (Dreamcast)
    6. Shenmue

....i'm going to stop for now but the ones i've mentioned bascially take me back to my fond memories of the days where u used to play multiplayer splitscreen with 4 friends on the same tiny 19" screen, good times.

  4. I keep all my old systems (with the exception of my original NES that (RIP) was destroyed during a suplex move my friend performed on another friend). AND I keep most of the games I buy too. Unfortunately 10-15 of my NES games were stolen in college. If I had to name any games it would be Halo on the original Xbox with 15 of my other college nerd friends palying 3 hour long games of 2 flag CTF on Blood Gulch. 1st to 3 caps, flag at home to score and a guy that went by the name Kuix dominating.

3 shots in the head with a pistol = instant kill.... damn you Jeremy for camping on the grassy knoll.

  7. sKatChUK, I still have Syphon Filter somewhere! Amazing game. That game and Tony Hawk really started me down the path of MP... I spent so many hours "attempting" to own my friends. Got to a point where I could pull off some good headshots in Syphon... great game!
