Glad to see you...

If the gaming industry is an automobile, and the game designers are the drivers, then that makes us, the players, backseat drivers, and we'll be damned if we're gonna let the industry keep on heading the way it's going (good or bad) without letting them know what we think. So buckle up, feel free to complain about there being no air in the back, and bring your most critical and analytical mind to the open air discussion of the current age, Backseat Gamers!

I've been saying this for years....

Why the hell does almost every game HAVE to have multiplayer? I've said it for several years now that if you're multi can't match or top HALO, CoD or Battlefield then why even waste the time?

Developers waste tons of dough on tacked on multi that will die 6 months after release. It's funny b/c the game journalist in the article complaining is probably the same guy that bitches when a game ships without multi. Remember when every game cared about only the campaign?

  1. it's kinda similar to co op these days too, i mean i love co op games but sometimes it just seems game devs are jst doing it cos everyone else does not b/c the game will actually benefit from it...Resident Evil 5 anyone?

  2. Good point on the coop. For a little while there were rumors that the amazing Dead Space sequel was going to have coop, but that has been squashed thankfully. On another note IT WILL have multi.....when will they learn????

  3. You gotta wonder how many SP games that sucked or were mediocre would have actually been fantastic or amazing if the devs had taken all the energy focused on some lame MP experience and put it all into SP...
