Glad to see you...

If the gaming industry is an automobile, and the game designers are the drivers, then that makes us, the players, backseat drivers, and we'll be damned if we're gonna let the industry keep on heading the way it's going (good or bad) without letting them know what we think. So buckle up, feel free to complain about there being no air in the back, and bring your most critical and analytical mind to the open air discussion of the current age, Backseat Gamers!

Maybe his real name is Andrew Ryan?

Seriously, this can't be a good idea.

Seriously?

  1. After building is completed, I'm gonna show up with my camera and take photos of everyone. That'll show 'em. Oh, and hack some vending machines for Honey Buns.

  4. I've seen this before. Except I think the island was called Rapture, there were big machines with drills for arms, and these creepy little girls ran around scaring the crap out of me.

  5. I don't really get how things like this are legal. If its in international waters, can't they just get attacked? What would be the political motivation to help them?

  6. So first thing I thought was Waterworld and that worked out well for Dennis Hopper, right? Am I understanding this right that they are building something off of the coast of San Fran? How is the gov't allowing this? For some reason I don't see the best and brightest flocking to these island nations. This is bizarre but might make a great video game after these nations have gone defunct and pirates and vigilantes are controlling them.

  7. I'm going to go there and do some parkour while joining a morally ambiguous faction to fight the opposing side...
