Glad to see you...

If the gaming industry is an automobile, and the game designers are the drivers, then that makes us, the players, backseat drivers, and we'll be damned if we're gonna let the industry keep on heading the way it's going (good or bad) without letting them know what we think. So buckle up, feel free to complain about there being no air in the back, and bring your most critical and analytical mind to the open air discussion of the current age, Backseat Gamers!

Halo Reach

First of hopefully many ViDoc for Halo Reach...consider me quite impressed...and the hype machine is certainly building already. I'm sure it's still going to be plagued by the usual Halo MP shananagins but i cant help but get excited already for this. There's some nice little gameplay elements revealed within the vid too. Yes they keep talking about polygon increaes but gotta hand it to them personally i think it looks very good, maybe just in comparision to halo 3...anyway go watch.

Beta May 3rd btw.

  1. Well I was certainly impressed. Especially by the visual leap, but I'm not singing any praises at all...until it LAUNCHES. I've come to the conclusion that HALO MP will pretty much suck forever going forward so I'll focus on SP from now on.

For HALO 3 and ODST I was all "ZOMG LOOKZ AT HOWZ AWESOME!* IT"S WILL BE!!!?!!" Only to ultimately be disappointed. Halo 2 sucked goat balls big time as well.

Point being. I'm not gonna fall for the hype machine for HALO anymore. 3 times is enough thank you very much.

  2. goat balls...nice. well from wat i've read in some previews of the MP their going for an armour abilities type thing, did read a while back they going for a copy cat of the MW perks system so be intersting to see how it all balances out...i always thought halo games were reasonably well balanced i just hated the community that tags along with it. but i kinda agree not getting hyped just yet but definately impressed (visually) to say the least at this stage.
