Glad to see you...
If the gaming industry is an automobile, and the game designers are the drivers, then that makes us, the players, backseat drivers, and we'll be damned if we're gonna let the industry keep on heading the way it's going (good or bad) without letting them know what we think. So buckle up, feel free to complain about there being no air in the back, and bring your most critical and analytical mind to the open air discussion of the current age, Backseat Gamers!

Way too juicy to not post.
I know we've been getting away from linked stories, but this is too awesome. The ex heads of IW are suing Activision and it makes Bobby Kotick and Activision look every bit as evil and terrible to games as we've always hoped they would be! Recently I've been buying so many EA games I don't really need anything else: Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, Dantes Inferno and Bad Company2. Down with Activision!

I gotta say that this isn't surprising. I really wish somebody would get rid of Bobby Kotick. We do not need people like this in the gaming industry and as much as people bash Infinity Ward, I believe the main problem with IW is that they are under the dark leadership of Activision.
ReplyDeleteKotick is the Palpatine of the video game industry.
They'll never get rid of him as long as he makes the stock holders happy/money...never. The stock holders don't play video games generally...at least not the big stock holders.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I think I'm just gonna not get anymore Activision games...this won't be hard cause the only games I get from them are CoD and I'm kinda burned out on that now anyways.
I <3 EA
I agree with you 100%. I will ALWAYS buy Blizzard games since that company destroys all others but other than that, I am not supporting Activision in any way, if I can help it. I'll just get all their games used on Goozex or something...
ReplyDeleteThe problem is, he's gonna wear out all their big titles and their sales will keep slipping... hopefully enough to where he gets the boot...
