Glad to see you...

If the gaming industry is an automobile, and the game designers are the drivers, then that makes us, the players, backseat drivers, and we'll be damned if we're gonna let the industry keep on heading the way it's going (good or bad) without letting them know what we think. So buckle up, feel free to complain about there being no air in the back, and bring your most critical and analytical mind to the open air discussion of the current age, Backseat Gamers!

This week in games....

So I was doing my little bit of browsing this morning before heading into work when I got reminded of something that amidst the onslaught of new games, I had completely forgotten about: Final Fantasy XIII.

Anyone getting it on Tuesday?

I had been planning on it since the day I purchased my PS3 but now... I think I'll wait. I'm already up to my ears in games and am currently in the middle of trying to play through 3 all at the same time: Dark Void, Assassins Creed, and Bad Company 2. To be fair to these, I'm gonna hold off on the 847hrs worth of cut-scenes that is FFXIII.

  1. Yeah, I'm waiting too. It's getting decent reviews but some of the comments have turned me off. Extremely linear game and character progression, no levels (seriously, is this really final fantasy???) soooo...

I'm gonna wait and eventually get it off of Goozex or something...

  2. likewise...too much else out atm, and coming out in the coming weeks. Jupiter from what i've read also, the first half of the game is supposed to be very linear but it then opens out for the second. I've no doubt that it's going to be a quality title think i'll just wait till its been out a while and pick it up on the cheap sometime when there's a nice gap in the market.

  3. I'll have to read some more reviews on it. The games between 7 and 12 were ok, decent games but not as engaging as 7. I fell in love with 12 so maybe I'm a little skeptical of 13... and these games are HUGE time eaters...

If anybody plays it soon, please post up a review for us!
