Tekken 2 is a game that I only ever rented and played a lot during those times. I loved the game way back then and to this day it's still a heart pounding fighter. Silent unfortunately pounds me into the ground with Law, but when I get my Heihachi skills back up to snuff I'm hoping to embarrass him on the daily.
Were there any fighter games you played a lot and actually got good at? SoulCalibur 1 and 2 were it for me. Kalik in 1 and Spawn for XBOX in 2.
Anyways, this has inspired me to get Tekken 6 from Goozex on PS3. I've done a lot of research and decided for that over Street Fighter 4. I was never really that into SF and I keep reading that several of the characters are overpowered.
Maybe I'll see some of you online.
P.S. Don't play Mortal Kombat against Lead Salad....he'll push your poop in.
Uhh yeah, the final boss in Street Fighter IV (Seth) was a major bastard. Without fail, I would be able to beat him EVERY time in Round 1, then the game would completely change and he'd be nearly invincible and wipe the floor with me in Rounds 2 and 3. So effing cheap. But as far as other characters being overpowered, I couldn't tell ya.
ReplyDeleteI was always horrible at fighting games. The only couple I ever really played were Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Mortal Kombet, and Killer Instinct on the SNES. Killer Instinct was awesome.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but pulling off different types of moves under pressure never worked for me...
I also love these type of games. I have to say my favorite series for these types of games is by far tekken. Tekken 2 was the first one I ever played and after investing close to 100 hrs into it I was hooked. I've since played 3, tag tournament, 4, and am currently playing tekken 6 on my 360 (soon will be playing on ps3). Combined I've put several hundred hours into the series and sorry nate there is no way you'll consistantly beat me at this game... ever... lol.
ReplyDeletePs: the fact that tekken 2 is on psn and soon to be joined by 1 (and 3 hopefully) has convinced me to purchase a ps3... I've been debating about it for awhile now and this gave me that extra push I needed to pick one up.
