Glad to see you...
If the gaming industry is an automobile, and the game designers are the drivers, then that makes us, the players, backseat drivers, and we'll be damned if we're gonna let the industry keep on heading the way it's going (good or bad) without letting them know what we think. So buckle up, feel free to complain about there being no air in the back, and bring your most critical and analytical mind to the open air discussion of the current age, Backseat Gamers!

LA Noire
Finally a trailer for a game announced like 4 years ago.
Trailer
Looks promising..take note of the phenomenal facial animations, best i've seen in a game yet.
Looks very good, but I'd be lying if I didn't think that Rockstar's typically bogged down overly complex controls won't ruin the experience. Regardless, we all know the game will be hailed as the Second Coming and will be found faultless....even as your spamming the hell out of a button to run. Analog controls be damned!!!!
ReplyDeleteI never really found the GTA or RDR controls that annoying... It would be better to just hold down a button to sprint. Maybe they'll figure out simpler and easier is what people want.
ReplyDeleteThat trailer looks pretty good. The facial movement is done great!
The game does looks good, but at this point is anyone else getting the kind of feeling I am? That's it's the same game with a different coat of paint. RDR and GTA are very similar and there's no denying that. Is there really any doubt that this game will be sandbox with an unbelievable realistic game world blah blah blah.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I found RDR to be a much more exciting world than GTA. GTA felt like a large nameless bunch of streets (not to say that it wasn't well done) and RDR had spunk and personality to each town.
Who am I kidding? I just can't wait to see some more "HUGE AMERICAN TITTIES, COUSIN!"
I think it's pretty hard to call at this stage...i hope it's not another rehash of the GTA formula. I'd like to see some innovation on the gameplay and story telling. I'm hoping there's some detective gameplay mechanics in there, like hunting for clues and solving cases in an sandbox environment could be pretty interesting and something that's not really been tackled before.
